Builders without Borders of Utah. June 7, 2013 – June 14, 2013

The Hunter family: James, Danielle, Shea, Kaden, and Lucas have chosen to go to Mexico with the charity, Builders without Borders of Utah.  June 7, 2013 – June 14, 2013 We will be providing charitable service for the people in the La Gloria Tijuana, Mexico area.  Our group for this trip is small (34 People) so we are in need of as much help as possible.
Any help you can provide in donating items or money will bless the lives of the wonderful people in Mexico.  Please note that we are paying all our own travel costs so any donated funds go 100% to construction or humanitarian costs.  Builders without Borders is a 501(c)(3) charity.  If you would like a receipt for your taxes, please write a check to Builders w/o Borders of Utah (BWOB).

Here is some information on the projects we will be helping with this year.

*We have decided to build 2 homes from the Ground Up!! Mendez Family with 3 children and Another family with 2 children. It costs about $9000 per home. Currently we are about $4000. Short, with your help I know we can raise enough money to complete 2 homes.
*Shingles on several Roofs.
*Orphanage – we will be taking basic items and playing games with the children. The LDS Church has already donated 100 school kits, 25 baby kids and 50 hygiene kits.
*Reading Glasses – 300 pairs have been donated, to distribute.

We will also be completing other projects, such as stucco, paint and many smaller projects.  Additionally, we try to help with various humanitarian projects.  The Stake Relief Society has asked for the following items:
Temple Skirts: Help the sisters get prepared for their new Temple! The LDS Church has donated fabric and elastic but we need Sewing machines, with needles and white thread.
Missionary Clothing  – Suits, Dark Pants, White Shirts, Ties etc. Suitcases (Shea Hunter’s Eagle Scout Project)
Play Ground Equipment: Any type of Balls, Frisbee’s, Jump Ropes, etc.
